The Museum of Contemporary Art especially collect artworks and different kind of documentation which show new directions in art from 1950´until today – or document a characteristic epoch. The documentation center plays an important role in understanding the historical background of the museums activities. This part of the collection has an active information-, documentation- and research function. The collection of new artworks as well as the classical avant-garde and different kind of documentation is at the disposal for those who whish to study and do research. It is the museums purpose to spread its own research based on the museums collection as well as that of others. Basically the museum tries to show the trends in the art right NOW.
