Brixton Caravan & Camping Park is 1 km away and so the supermarket. The Barbican restaurant is 2 km away. National Marine Aquarium at 7 km is where you can meet sharks and seahorses. At 8 km is the Hoe Park which is ideal for skating, cycling and barbecues. Sutton Harbour is 7 km away while the enchanting Royal William Yard is 9 km away, while Whitsands Bay at 10 km is where you can indulge in some surfing and swimming. Nearby is the Dartmoor Zoo where you can check out a huge cat collection! The home also offers a terrace. A bicycle rental service can be arranged in case you want to go cycling. Paid airport shuttle service is also available. Exeter Airport is 77 km away.

The village is an excellent base for exploring the beautiful coast and countryside of South Devon, and is close to the stunning wilderness and pretty villages of the Dartmoor National Park. The lovely sandy beaches at Wembury are just three miles away, whilst the delightful waterside villages of Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers are around a ten minutes' drive. The village has some very pretty views across the river Yealm, with all its facilities for sailing and boating and the vibrant city of Plymouth with its historic Barbican district is an easy ten minute drive direct on the A379.
